Job Description

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions: Fill prescriptions based on a doctor's instructions, checking for allergies and other interactions
• Educate patients: Instruct patients on how to take their medication, side effects, and storage
• Provide general health advice: Advise patients on exercise, stress management, and other lifestyle changes
• Administer vaccinations: Give vaccines like the flu shot
• Monitor drug therapies: Check for therapeutic incompatibilities and advise on interventions
• Manage the pharmacy: Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, and ensure the pharmacy is clean and safe
• Work with insurance companies: Resolve billing issues and negotiate with insurance providers
• Keep up to date with new drugs and treatments: Participate in research and development, and stay current with pharmacy issues
