- Title: BA/QA Location: Hyderabad / Pune /Bangalore Exp: 7-10+ years Responsibilities Job Description: Domain Expertise & Knowledge Transfer: Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all aspects of retail trading, including asset classes (stocks, options, futures, etc.), order types (market, limit, stop, etc.), options strategies (spreads, straddles, etc.), charting, and market data. Provide in-depth functional training and knowledge transfer to the functional testing team, ensuring a thorough understanding of the trading platform's features and functionalities. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and new trading technologies to maintain and enhance domain expertise. Test Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and testers to define and refine functional testing strategies based on business requirements and user stories. Review and validate test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with domain knowledge. Provide guidance and oversight during test execution, troubleshooting issues and ensuring timely resolution. Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on functional defects and areas for improvement. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of functional testers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, promoting continuous learning and professional development. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the testing team and other stakeholders. Help train new team members. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement: Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and best practices. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the functional testing process. Participate in defect triage meetings. Qualifications 7-10+ years of experience working in software development programs, with a significant focus on retail trading applications. Extensive and demonstrable expertise in all aspects of retail trading, including: Asset classes (stocks, options, futures, forex, etc.) Order types (market, limit, stop, stop-limit, etc.) Options strategies (spreads, straddles, strangles, etc.) Technical analysis and charting tools. Market data and real-time feeds. Trading regulations. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proven ability to lead and mentor a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) is a plus. Experience with automated testing is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
