Job Description

Title- Copy Editor Job Description:

Read through the content with care, identify and edit it for consistency, grammar, spelling, capitalization, vocabulary, punctuation and language errors

Responsible for checking the quality of copyedited files and ensure it is of highest standards as expected by the customers

Ensure the text is standardized in line with the publisher's 'house style' and language requirements.

Checking for facts / inconsistencies in the content and raise queries to authors and publishers to ensure quality and accuracy Up-to-date knowledge on language requirements based on various style manualsand apply standard best practices while editing content for style.

Responsible for enhancing author's content to improve the overall readability and accuracy of research articles

Exceptional English communication / writing skills and passion for reading and writing Hands-on experience / exposure to various style guides and language specifications /requirements..

Should have an eye for detail and high level of commitment to accuracy. Experience in handling a team of copyeditors would be an added advantage.

Skills required:

Good knowledge of MS office
