Job Description
- Lead and manage the engineering department, ensuring effective project execution.
- Develop and oversee design strategies, ensuring alignment with railway industry standards.
- Drive product innovation, conceptualization, and execution of engineering projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and procurement, to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety norms, and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team.
- Analyze and improve design methodologies to enhance product efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage engineering documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their technical requirements and provide engineering solutions.
- Oversee vendor and supplier coordination for engineering-related materials.
- Monitor and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10 to 15 years of experience in engineering roles, preferably in the railway industry.
- Strong expertise in design and product development.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other design tools.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of railway components, systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
