General Accountabilities: Responsible for deploying, automating, maintaining, troubleshooting and improving the systems that keep the backend infrastructure running smoothly. The role requires you to have hands-on technical experience and a can-do approach towards environment automation / management and continuous improvement. The role will encompass the use of a broad range of AWS technologies, operating systems (Windows) and application environments (UC4,Git,SQL Server, VMWare Data Centre, VSphere, SQL Server, .NET stack), with an emphasis on the implementation of best practice cloud security principles. Duties & Responsibilities: Building and maintaining tools, solutions and services associated with deployment and operations platform. Test system integrity, implemented designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed. Update Dev Ops processes and design new processes as needed. Deploy product updates as required while implementing integrations when they arise. Automate Devops operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with security requirements. Specifying, documenting and developing new product features, and writing automating scripts. Establish DevOps Engineer team best practices. Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes. Work with open-source technologies as needed. Work with CI and CD tools, and source control such as GIT, Jenkins and SVN. Offer technical support where needed, developing software for our back-end systems. Required Skills and Experience 8+ years of experience in DevOps support and cloud technologies, Preferably AWS Expertise in SQLServer (and SQL Scripting - from a SysAdmin perspective) Solid understanding and Troubleshooting on Windows Server operating system Hands on Experience of UC4 (Job Scripting, scheduling and workflows) Hands on Experience in setting up CI/CD Pipeline (set-up, configuration and automation) Good understanding of Hardware / IT Infrastructure Configurations Good understanding of IT Environment Management (in Windows, SQL Server, .NET stack) Good understanding of Software/Platform Deployment Good understanding of IT Production Support Qualifications: Had/has training or experience (or is certified) as: "Associate AWS Solution Architect" Had/has training or experience: DevOps Fundamentals (including CI/CD Pipeline) Had/has training or experience: VMWare Data Centre Virtualisation Fundamentals Had/has training or experience: VMWare vSphere Fundamentals Had/has training or experience: Kubernetes Fundamentals Had/has training or experience: Docker (Container) Fundamentals Had/has training or experience: TFS Had/has training or experience: Git (or equivalents) Come join a recognized leader in third-party administration for the US life and annuity insurance industry and experience a fast paced, fun and rewarding work environment.
