Job Description
- 4+ years of hands-on application development experience using Ab Initio.
- Possess solid understanding of data warehousing dimensional design patterns &
fundamentals and has to demonstrate experience in leveraging various Ab Initio
components to develop complex batch and continuous graphs. - Hands-on development experience with various Ab Initio components such as Rollup,
Scan, join, Gather, XML, JSON, Reformat, Fuse, Lookup, etc. - Well versed with the concepts of Cooperating System and Graphical Development
Environment - Expertise in creating the graph for data extraction transformation and loading process
between homogeneous or heterogeneous systems using ETL tools. Expertise on scheduling and monitoring of ETL mappings. - Experience in writing and executing UNIX shell scripts
- Hands on experience in using advanced Oracle database concepts including PL/SQL,
packages, procedures, indexing and query tuning. - Skilled in preparing data cleaning scripts.
- Sound Knowledge on data warehousing concepts.
- Working knowledge of at least one Job scheduler tool.
- Exposure to working in a global delivery team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Requirements- Work closely with Solution Architect, Data Modeler, Business Analysts to understand
business requirements, providing expert knowledge and solutions on Data Warehousing,
ensuring delivery of business needs in a timely cost-effective manner.
- Provides/reviews detailed technical specifications and ETL documentations required in
each phase of the SDLC and complies with internal standards and guidelines.
- Provides reviews of deliverables and identifies gaps/areas for improvement.
- Ensure the product team adheres to high quality enterprise standards with respect to built-in security, coding standards and patterns.
- Provides end-users support including business queries and requests.
- Create, execute, and document unit test plans for ETL and data integration processes and
programs. - Identify opportunities to optimize the ETL environment, quality, and validation processes
to ensure data accuracy and integrity. - Analyze & translate functional specifications & change requests into technical
specifications.
- Examine existing code and recommend patches, design overhauls or fixes for broken code.
- Work on cross-functional features that span across multiple features and multiple teams
and define the scope of work for other teams wherever applicable. - To work with highly motivated people who are totally focused on winning by combining
great teamwork, rapid execution, and an uncompromising approach to quality and
customer satisfaction. - Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of
problem resolution. - Participate in all aspects of solution delivery life cycle including analysis, design,
development, testing, production deployment, and support.
