Role Overview
This role involves extensive daily interaction with functional specialists, developers in all finance and IT departments in Booking.com. It is crucial that you have a solid grasp of finance processes and integration with legacy systems and you have strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills in English.
Due to the rapid and continuous growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur.
What youll be doing:
- Oversee the integration of Supply Chain procurement (P2P) systems to ensure seamless operations.
- A deep understanding of Ivalua's functionalities is crucial for roles like Test Engineer I, as it enables effective testing and validation of the platform's features
- Excellent hands-on experience on Ivalua application including S2C and P2P process.
- S2C (Source-to-Contract) involves identifying suppliers, creating sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs), negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance in supplier management.
- P2P (Procure-to-Pay) focuses on requisitioning, creating purchase orders, goods receipts, managing invoices, and processing payments.
- Good understanding in the EAI, ETL and APIs functionality in Ivalua for Integration process and data integrity testing
- In-depth understanding and application of standard SAP Project Test Life Cycles.
- Proven track record in testing Systems upstream and downstream to SAP, including integration points and validations.
- Skilled in defining comprehensive Test Plans for all SAP Modules based on project requirements and mentoring Junior testers in crafting Test Scripts.
- Hands-on experience in leading End-To-End Test execution across all Testing Phases (Unit, System Integration, and Regression Testing) alongside Junior Test Engineers.
- Collaboration with Test Automation Engineers to develop automation Test Scripts from manual Test Scripts.
- Engagement with User Acceptance Testers for UAT activities.
- Close collaboration with the functional team to grasp business requirements and translate them into effective test Scripts.
- Identification, documentation, and tracking of defects using established defect tracking tools, including participation in defect triage meetings.
- Working closely with developers and functional consultants to troubleshoot and resolve issues observed during testing.
- Providing timely and accurate status updates on testing progress, defects, and risks to Test Manager and project stakeholders.
- Possession of strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What youll bring:.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
- Ivalua knowledge on both in S2C, P2P and integration (API, ETL, EAI)
- Functional knowledge of sourcing, contracting, SRM, requisition, goods receipt, purchasing and/or invoicing
- Proven experience in Ivalua KPIs and data analytics dashboards
- Experience with Ivalua integrations with SAP ECC or/and SAP S4 is an advantage
- Good to have SQL knowledge for validating data related to S2C and P2P activities
- Experience with SAP MM and SAP Vendor invoice management is an advantage
- Good in collecting the business requirements and translating the requirements to technical consultants. Hands-on experience in preparing functional specification, technical specification and conducting testing including UAT.
- Strategic thinking, being able to balance mid-term objectives with short-term tactics and goals. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Organized, flexible, proactive and result-oriented.
- JSON - Familiar with JSON syntax (good to have)
- XML - Understand how to properly structure and use XML for transferring data(good to have)
- Preparing Test cases, requires Good Knowledge of SAP FI/SD/MM and Integration with other SAP modules like MM and SD.
- Testing 2E2 scenarios requires a good knowledge of the Business Processes of all submodules Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, General Ledger, etc., is a must.
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps or similar.Good to have JIRA experience .
- Deep knowledge in translating the business requirement into Test scenarios. Also Test scenarios into detail Test cases.
- Solid understanding in Treasury processes like Cash Management, Cash flow Forecasting, Bank Account management, Intercompany Loans, FX Trades.
- Knowledge of In House Cash, Bank Statement is must and Bank Communication Management is good to have.
- Ability to have good grasp of the detail and handle multiple priorities in a quick turnaround environment;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written;
- Organized, flexible, proactive and result-oriented.
- Deep knowledge on FInance related E2E integration and regression testing
