Position Overview:
The Senior Manager Planning will play a critical role in driving Zeptos growth by optimizing demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management. This role requires a deep understanding of end-to-end planning processes and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking and execution excellence to build scalable planning frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Design and implement robust planning strategies to achieve Zeptos business objectives
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to drive synergy across demand planning, supply planning, and inventory planning processes.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop actionable plans and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Demand Planning
- Lead demand forecasting processes by utilizing advanced statistical models, historical data, and market insights.
- Ensure accurate prediction of customer demand to support optimal product availability and minimize wastage.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotional plans and market trends into forecasts.
Supply Planning
- Develop supply planning models to ensure the right balance between supply and demand across all distribution centers.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendor management teams to maintain consistent and reliable supply levels.
- Drive initiatives to optimize lead times, reduce costs, and improve supplier performance.
Inventory Planning & Optimization
- Establish efficient inventory management practices to maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring both availability and minimal holding costs.
- Monitor inventory turnover, obsolescence, and replenishment cycles to maximize operational efficiency.
- Implement tools and processes to improve visibility and accuracy of inventory across the network.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Foster collaboration across departments, including logistics, procurement, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless planning and execution.
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives to address key operational challenges and enhance service levels.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Identify and implement best practices for improving demand, supply, and inventory planning processes.
- Drive continuous improvement programs focused on reducing costs and improving overall supply chain efficiency. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of planning strategies.
- Generate insights through data analysis and present regular reports to senior leadership with recommendations for improvement
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management in a high-growth environment.
Proven success in driving planning excellence and improving operational performance in a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
Skills:
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with a focus on using data to make informed decisions.
In-depth knowledge of planning tools, techniques, and software.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities, with a proactive and innovative mindset
