Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage QA teams across one or more projects
- Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end test strategies including manual and automated testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and business analysts to ensure complete test coverage
- Oversee the creation of detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and technical specifications
- Define and track key quality metrics (defect density, test coverage, automation rate, etc.)
- Drive adoption of test automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) best practices
- Coordinate testing activities including unit, integration, system, regression, performance, and UAT testing
- Manage defect lifecycle and ensure resolution timelines are met
- Train, mentor, and evaluate QA team members; facilitate knowledge sharing and growth
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong expertise in QA methodologies and processes (Agile/Scrum, SDLC/STLC)
- Proven experience with testing tools such as:
- Manual Testing: TestRail, Zephyr, HP ALM
- Automation: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium
- API Testing: Postman, REST Assured
- Performance Testing: JMeter, LoadRunner
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and basic scripting (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Certifications (Preferred or Required)
- Required:
- ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent
- Preferred:
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager
- Certified Agile Tester (CAT)
- PMP or Scrum Master Certification (CSM/PSM)
- Automation certification
