Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned Automation Developer with 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and managing infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible , Terraform , Shell scripting , PowerShell , and Python . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automating both cloud resources (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise infrastructures, with a focus on scalability, security, and operational efficiency. This role also requires strong leadership abilities to guide and mentor a team of automation engineers, ensuring the adoption of best practices and a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate provisioning, configuration management, and system administration tasks.
- Cloud Automation: Use Terraform to automate infrastructure deployment across various cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data centers.
- Scripting & Optimization: Develop and optimize automation scripts using Bash , PowerShell , and Python for increased efficiency and reliability.
- Cloud Services Automation: Automate the provisioning and management of cloud services (VMs, databases, networking, security policies) across AWS, Azure , and GCP .
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve automation failures and infrastructure issues across both cloud and on-prem environments.
- Collaboration: Partner with DevOps , Cloud , and Security teams to improve automation workflows and ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Tool Integration: Integrate automation solutions with ITSM (IT Service Management) tools and monitoring systems for enhanced visibility and control.
- Research & Development: Conduct R&D and Proof of Concept (PoC) projects on emerging cloud services and automation technologies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers , fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement in automation practices.
- Project Oversight: Ensure automation projects are executed in compliance with best practices, security standards, and industry regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure automation using Ansible , Terraform , and scripting languages like Bash , PowerShell , Python , or Go .
- Expertise in cloud automation for major platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), focusing on compute, storage, networking, and Identity and Access Management (IAM) .
- Strong administration skills in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities related to automation and infrastructure.
- Ability to design and implement scalable , efficient , and secure automation workflows.
- Proven leadership experience in team management and mentoring within automation projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to influence stakeholders across various teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Ansible , Terraform , AWS , Azure , or GCP .
- Experience in security and compliance automation .
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies
