Department: Medical Coding / Revenue Cycle Management

Location: Velachery - Chennai

Reports to: Coding Supervisor / Manager

Salary: Max 38k CTC

Work mode: WFO

Notice period: Max 1Month

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Radiology Medical Coder to review and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate coding and compliance with current coding guidelines and payer requirements to optimize reimbursement and maintain audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Review radiology reports and documentation to accurately assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes.

Ensure coding is compliant with federal regulations and payer-specific guidelines.

Work closely with radiologists, billing teams, and compliance personnel to clarify documentation.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of radiology coding changes and payer policies.

Assist in resolving coding-related denials and rejections.

Meet coding productivity and accuracy standards as defined by the department.

Participate in internal audits and quality improvement activities.

Maintain confidentiality and data integrity in all coding activities.

Requirements:

Minimum 6 Months of experience in radiology medical coding.

Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiology procedures.

Proficient in using EMR/EHR systems and coding software.

Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Radiology or interventional radiology coding.

Familiarity with NCCI edits and LCD/NCD policies.

Remote work experience in a healthcare setting.
