Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • To oversee all activities within a team and driving the team to meet production targets
  • To ensure team meets daily SLA and qualify requirement
  • Work on Internal and External stakeholder reporting
  • To ensure appropriate and timely escalations to immediate superiors
  • To handle escalations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, external regulations and information security standards.
  • Ensure completion of the Internal and External Calibration sessions
  • Conduct team huddles.
  • Establish peer-to-peer relationships with in the team.
  • Ensure complete, transparent and frequent communication with the team and other stakeholder.
  • Adhere to the communication plan and rigor as agreed with the business.
  • Ensure on time logins and schedule adherence.
  • Assist new hires such that they are productive on the floor in the shortest possible time frame.
  • To coach and provide feedback to team members who are not meeting their targets or meeting the threshold
  • To help team members to resolve queries and provide floor support. To identify process gaps and suggest improvement measures.
  • Help new Joiners in their nesting phase and be a backup for supervisors in their absence.
  • Encourage others on the team to identify barriers to team functioning and suggest remedies
  • Maintain confidentiality of all customer and employee information
  • Respond positively to feedback and redirection
  • Fully utilize systems, tools, training, and resources provided to maximize potential

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors in any stream
  • Experienced mortgage professional with 4-5 years expertise in underwriting functions
  • Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
  • Has working knowledge of real estate lending criteria and federal, state, and agency compliance
  • Can multi-task and manage time efficiently
  • Has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organization and verbal and written communications skills.
  • Highly adaptive and open to changes as the organization grows and its needs evolve.
