Job Description

    Job Title:
    Commis (1,2&3) Chefs, DCDP (Demi Chef De Partie) & CDP (Chef De Partie)

    Location:
    Bandra, Mumbai

    Salary Range:

    • Commis 3: Up to 16,000 Gross

    • Commis 2: Up to 20,000 Gross

    • Commis 1: Up to 30,000 Gross

    • DCDP: 30,000 to 35,000 Gross

    • CDP: 35,000 to 45,000 Gross
      Note: Salary depends on experience and skills.

    Job Overview

    We are hiring experienced and enthusiastic kitchen professionals for an upcoming Thai and Oriental restaurant in Bandra, Mumbai. Candidates must have relevant expertise in Thai and Oriental cuisine and a strong understanding of quality, hygiene, and teamwork.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Commis Chefs (1, 2 & 3):

    • Assist in the preparation and cooking of Thai and Oriental dishes

    • Support senior chefs with daily mise en place and kitchen duties

    • Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and hygiene standards

    • Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation

    • Use kitchen tools and ingredients responsibly

    • Follow instructions and contribute to smooth kitchen operations

    DCDP (Demi Chef De Partie):

    • Supervise and guide commis chefs during prep and service

    • Manage specific kitchen sections (e.g., wok, grill, dim sum)

    • Ensure quality, portioning, and presentation consistency

    • Oversee mise en place and maintain cleanliness in the section

    • Support the CDP in staff training and section management

    • Help monitor inventory and manage prep timelines

    CDP (Chef De Partie):

    • Lead a section of the kitchen and manage the team assigned to it

    • Plan and execute food prep according to restaurant standards

    • Maintain high levels of food quality, hygiene, and cleanliness

    • Manage inventory, minimize wastage, and monitor stock levels

    • Train, mentor, and evaluate junior kitchen staff

    • Ensure consistency and timely service during operations

    Skills Required (All Levels)

    • Experience in Thai, Oriental, or Pan-Asian cuisine

    • Proficiency in wok cooking, stir-fry, dim sum, sauces, and steaming techniques

    • Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food handling, and FSSAI standards

    • Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment

    • Good team coordination and time management skills

    • Adaptability to rotational shifts

    Qualifications

    • 6 months to 6 years of relevant kitchen experience (based on role)

    • Culinary certification or Hotel Management diploma preferred

    • Basic to strong communication skills in Hindi or English
