Project Description
We are developing a sophisticated pricing system for a leading automotive parts retailer. This system will handle complex pricing strategies, discounts, and promotions, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing across the clients product range. The project involves working with cutting-edge technologies and cloud-based solutions to deliver a scalable and efficient pricing engine
Essential functions
Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain the pricing system using Java, Spring, and GCP technologies
- Implement complex pricing algorithms and rules
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for the pricing service
- Optimize service performance and ensure high availability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and technical constraints
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests for the pricing system
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and coding standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments
- Stay updated with the latest Java and Spring developments
Qualifications
Details on Tech Stack - Java
- Spring Framework
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Github and Github Actions
- BigQuery
- Microservices Architecture
- RESTful APIs
- Strong proficiency in Java with at least 5 years of experience
- Extensive experience with Spring Framework
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns
- Experience with unit and integration testing (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and Serverless approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in the 2nd shift and map to US ET 8-11 AM timezone
Would be a plus
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Understanding of pricing strategies in retail or e-commerce
