Job Description
Electrical Design Lead
Job Location: Bangalore
Experience: 10-20 years
Knowledge & Skills requirements:
- Design experience in MV/LV system and associated equipment/design (SLD, Load List, Switchgear, MCC, Motors, UPS, Control Panels, Junction Boxes, BOQ).
- Responsible for preparation of Electrical Load List, Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Electrical Schematics and Wiring Diagrams and also in modification and re-detailing on Electrical Design
- Experienced in Cable Sizing, Selection, Short Circuit & Voltage Drop Calculations, Equipment Layout Design, Cable Tray/Conduit laying and installation drawings, Earthing & Lighting Protection Design
- Preparation of Technical Documents like Equipment Specifications/Datasheets.
- Ability to develop various substation and power distribution scheme single line diagram.
- Ability to develop/lead physical substation layouts and coordinate civil and mechanical disciplines.
- Substation design Scope of Work and specifications development
- Perform preliminary studies for grounding, lightning protection, arc flash hazard, and other studies required for substation design.
- Experience in Design calculations for Transformer, Generator, UPS, Battery chargers, Automated Transfer Switch
- Review of Vendor Drawings and Technical Bid Evaluation/Approval
- Experienced in coordinating with Piping/Mechanical/Instrumentation designer for Electrical Design Interface details
- Experienced in assisting during installation, testing and commissioning of Electrical System Equipment at site and coordinating with other discipline to support in project work completion
- Experience of participation in FAT and SAT
- Familiar with Codes and Standards: ISA, IEC, CSA, NEC(NFPA70), NEMA
- Familiar with Equipment Selection, Electrical Design Guidelines requirements around Electrical Area Classification in Oil and Gas industry.
- Familiarity with Midstream/Downstream design/engineering processes for Oil and Gas / Power / Energy / Industrial / Petrochemical sectors
- Advanced competency with AutoCAD 2D is must, AutoCAD 3D capability would be an added advantage
- Hands on experience of using engineering tools like ETAP / SKM for power system analysis would be an added advantage
- Team player, should work together other Technical disciplines in order to achieve Integrated project Execution
Education:
- Bachelor/ Master of Engineering in EEE / EE / E&I
