Job Description
About The Role.Designing and implementing data models that align with business requirements; creating and managing database objects such as tables, views, and schemas within Snowflake.
Developing and maintaining ETL processes to move data into and out of Snowflake; integrating data from various sources, ensuring data quality, and transforming data to meet business needs.
Optimizing queries and data warehouse performance for efficiency and scalability; monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues to ensure optimal system responsiveness.
Implementing and managing security measures to protect data within Snowflake; setting up and maintaining user roles, privileges, and access controls to ensure data security and compliance.
Integrating Snowflake with other data sources and tools to facilitate seamless data flow and analysis; collaborating with other teams to ensure data integration aligns with overall business goals.
Automating routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency; orchestrating data workflows and dependencies to ensure timely and accurate data processing.
Monitoring system health, performance, and resource utilization; conducting regular maintenance tasks such as backups, updates, and patches to keep the system running smoothly.
About You.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, features, and capabilities.
Proficiency in creating and managing data objects, such as databases, tables, and views in Snowflake.
Strong SQL skills for querying, data manipulation, and performance optimization within the Snowflake environment.
Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes for data integration using tools like Snowflake's native features and Apache Airflow.
Knowledge of data modelling principles and experience in designing effective and efficient data models.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Java for automating tasks and implementing custom solutions.
Knowledge of data security best practices and experience implementing security measures within Snowflake; understanding of compliance requirements relevant to the organization's industry.
Experience in automating routine tasks and orchestrating data workflows; familiarity with tools like Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
Effective communication and teamwork skills and possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form.
Experience: 8+ years.
Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent studies.
