Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Networking devices and upgrade when necessary
- Cross train in-house to share knowledge and share work load
- Troubleshooting Routing and Switching issues and providing solutions
- Suggest and detail design changes as and when needed
- Documentation for the customers installations and provide continuous service advice
- Pro-actively review and maintain client infrastructure
- Responding to emergency situations and performing effective troubleshooting during production outages
- Installing, upgrading and backing up IOS of Cisco Routers and Switches
- Configuration of Cisco wireless controllers and APs
- Administering and monitoring daily activities, monitoring performance, taking backups of network devices.
- Troubleshoot all networking problems to ensure minimum downtime & maximum availability.
- Device management on SOLARWINDS NMS and Kiwi Syslog.
- Providing technical support for installation activities and routine troubleshooting of Network Infrastructure.
- Perform Change Management as per the process.
- Support to all BAU [Business as Usual] calls.
- Daily BAU L2/L3 Calls Support on Network infrastructure.
- Candidate should be ready to work in 24*7 Shifts
Experience and Skill must require (Essential):
- Experience of installing Cisco networking equipment such as Cisco 9000 series switches and Cisco 8000 series routers.
- CCNP Certified (Minimum Routing and Switching) certified (or higher) preferred.
- Knowledge or experience with Cisco Nexus 9K and Cisco ACI is preferred.
- Implementation of wired and wireless IEEE 802.1x and implementation using Cisco ISE.
- Wireless troubleshooting experience and configuration of Cisco 9800 WLC
- Considerable knowledge and experience in setting up Cisco network components, specifically Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, Nexus 9K Series Switches and Cisco Routers.
- Data knowledge
- Knowledge of protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, TRUNKS, VLANs, Port-Channel, Static routing, HSRP, VRRP, MST
- Networking topologies and protocols. Examples being MPLS, VRF, SIP, Traffic Shaping/ QoS, VPN
- Cisco command line
- Considerable knowledge and experience in VSS and VPC technology.
- Considerable knowledge and experience in NetFlow Analyzer, Citrix Netscalar Load Balancer, LANCOPE, Allot Packet Shaper.
- Exposure on Cisco 6500, 4500 and Nexus 9K switching platforms, Cisco 2900 and 3900 series routing platforms, Experience with ISE, Wireless 5508
- 5 to 9 years of experience in switching, routing and firewall.
- Familiarity with Data Centre environment and hosted deployments/cloud
Experience of supporting clients remotely and face to face, along with experience of working with SIP providers
- Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analysers
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be flexible to work outside of business hours as per business requirements.
- Needs to be able to remain calm under pressure and ensure a logical thought process is maintained.
- Should have the ability to investigate complex WAN and Datacenter LAN issues in a multiproduct environment, Ability to handle complex network issues independently.
- Should have exposure to ITIL practices
- Strong vendor management skills needed
- Should have passion towards new trends in technology.
