Install, upgrade, and maintain DB2 on z/OS and related ISV tools.

Configure and manage DB2 subsystems in both data sharing and non-data sharing environments.

Perform DB2 disaster recovery, backups, restores, and performance tuning.

Build and relocate DB2 subsystem environments as needed.

Apply maintenance updates and patches using SMP/E.

Develop and maintain REXX scripts for automation and DB2 interaction.

Monitor DB2 performance using traces, utilities, and performance monitors.

Collaborate with operations and automation teams to define and implement procedures.

Provide technical recommendations and support for DB2 environments.

Ensure security compliance in RACF/Top Secret/ACF2 environments.

 Primary Skills 

Strong knowledge of DB2 on z/OS and relational database concepts.

Experience with DB2 utilities (COPY, REORG, LOAD, UNLOAD).

Proficiency in DB2 toolsSPUFI, QMF, IBM DB2 Admin Tool, Object Comparison Tool, Infosphere Optim, High Performance Unload.

Expertise in DB2 performance tuning, query optimization, and CPU utilization analysis.

Experience with DB2 stored procedures, recovery to PIT, and DBADM/SYSADM authority.

Familiarity with SMP/E, REXX, Assembler, and JCL.
