Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end business analysis for strategic banking projects, including requirement gathering, analysis, documentation, and validation.
- Drive collaboration with senior business stakeholders, product owners, and IT leadership to define business needs and translate them into detailed solution requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive impact assessments, risk analysis, and feasibility studies for new banking products, regulatory changes, and technology initiatives.
- Define and enforce best practices in requirements engineering, process modeling, and business analysis standards.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level business analysts on banking domain knowledge, tools, and methodologies.
- Lead workshops, focus groups, and stakeholder interviews to elicit business needs and build consensus.
- Work closely with compliance, risk management, operations, and IT teams to ensure regulatory and operational requirements are integrated into solutions.
- Partner with Agile product teams and project managers to ensure timely and quality delivery of banking solutions.
- Support senior management by preparing detailed reports, presentations, and business cases to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Keep abreast of emerging trends in banking technology (e.g., digital banking, open banking, blockchain) and regulatory frameworks to advise on strategic initiatives.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinate defect resolution, and sign off on deliverables.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in banking processes and systems leveraging technology.
Required Skills:
- 10 to 15 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst or Lead BA in banking/financial services domain.
- Deep knowledge of banking products (retail, corporate, treasury, lending), core banking systems, and regulatory requirements (AML, KYC, Basel III, GDPR).
- Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and managing BA teams.
- Expertise in requirement gathering techniques, use case development, process modeling (BPMN), and documentation.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, and other BA tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments as well as Waterfall.
- Exposure to digital transformation projects, fintech collaboration, or blockchain initiatives in banking preferred.
- Certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent highly desirable.
