SAP EHS Consultant Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SAP EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Consultant to support and optimize compliance, risk management, and safety processes within SAP. The ideal candidate should have expertise in SAP EHS modules such as Product Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, and Incident Management. This role involves working with business teams to ensure regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and improved safety performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance SAP EHS modules, including Product Safety, Incident Management, Occupational Health, and Waste Management.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand compliance and safety requirements, translating them into SAP solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration with MM, PP, QM, and other relevant modules for effective safety and compliance processes.
- Support hazardous substance management, safety data sheets (SDS), and chemical compliance reporting.
- Troubleshoot system issues related to incident reporting, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance tracking.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, system enhancements, and best practices in EHS.
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Provide training and support to key users and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with technical teams for system enhancements, issue resolution, and ABAP developments.
- Participate in SAP upgrades, rollouts, and process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in SAP EHS with expertise in at least one or more sub-modules (Product Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Incident Management, or Waste Management).
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (preferred) or ECC.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in environmental, health, and safety domains.
- Experience in cross-functional integration with MM, PP, QM, and Logistics modules.
- Ability to collaborate with ABAP developers for custom enhancements and issue resolution.
- Familiarity with SDS (Safety Data Sheets), hazardous materials, and risk management processes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- SAP EHS Certification is a plus.
- Background in environmental science, industrial safety, or compliance management is a plus.
