Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Lead a development team to deliver new products, features and enhancements using Agile methodologies, in close collaboration with the Product Owners, Developers, QA Engineers, and Architects.
- Provide strategic technical input and architecture to the Product Owner.
- Function as the first point of escalation to resolve team blockers, ensure development velocity and achieve committed sprint goals.
- Communicate progress, risks, and technical challenges effectively and in a timely manner.
- Manage day-to-day team activities and mentor team members in their career development.
- Actively contribute to the codebase and participate in development activities as a hands-on leader. Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply relevant innovations to improve team and product outcomes.
Required Education and Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Software development of complex applications with excellent understanding of design principles and considerations.
- Proven experience in leading Agile delivery teams and mentoring engineers.
- Strong Java development background, with expertise in microservices architecture, unit testing, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with cloud and SaaS-based development, particularly on Azure and/or AWS, and containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- Experience with Web front-end and back-end technologies.: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, RESTful APIs using Microservices (NodeJS,), Express, JSON, OData, Web Sockets, and Java EE.
- Familiarity with build pipeline tools and technologies such as: Jenkins, Gitlab, Gradle Working in an Agile development environment.
- Self-driven and proactive, with a willingness to take initiative and ownership of tasks.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
- A team player who can coach junior developers, collaborate on complex problems, and support team success.
- Comfortable working with remote and distributed teams across time zones.
