Job Description
Elevator/Escalator TechnicianQualification: Diploma in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering
Experience: Should have minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in Elevator Company.
Assemble, install, repair or maintain electric or hydraulic freight or passenger elevators , escalators, moving walks, or dumbwaiters.
Should have hands on experience in the installation of High rise and High-speed elevators.
Should be skilled enough to handle all power tools and lifting equipments confirming to the safety norms.
Knowledge in the electrical and testing and commissioning of high-rise elevators shall be an added advantage.
Should be well versed with reading of shop drawings.
Should carry out installation of all types of lifts individually from template setting to start-up of the lifts.
Identify the risks and hazards involved with the installation processes.
To be able to take decision individually with regards to the day site activities with minimal supervision.
Should be able to interact with main contractor representative as and when required.
Should be able to conduct toolbox talks.
Should suggest preventive action in case of any repeated technical issues.
Report any technical non-conformity with regard to quality issues with the immediate supervisor.
Should exhibit flexible approach at site related activities.
Knowledge about scaffold less installation in accordance with current procedures/ methods statements.
Ensures adherence to the HSE policies and procedures, IMS and corporate standard and policies including compliance to legal and local regulation requirements.
Elevator/Escalator Supervisor
Qualification: Bachelors Degree/ Diploma in engineering (preferably mechanical/ electrical engineer)
Experience: Should have Minimum of 5 years of which 3 years in an elevator company.
Supervision of installation works.
Checking of materials received at site, control of materials and manpower at site.
Assist installation engineer during in process of quality inspection, final inspection and coordination with Quality dept before handing over.
Responsible for reporting/ identifying any non-conformance related to product, taking corrective and preventive measures at site.
Ensures all work is conducted in accordance with current procedures/ methods statements.
Ensure staff attendance records are maintained and timesheet records are captured to the relevant system/s for timely manner.
Conduct STARRT prior to each activity.
Identify hazard and report to Quality and HSE dept.
Ensures adherence to the HSE policies and procedures, IMS and corporate standard and policies including compliance to legal and local regulation requirements.
