Job Description
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data security strategy aligned with PragmaEdges business objectives.
- Identify data security risks and implement proactive measures to mitigate potential threats.
- Implement and manage data encryption solutions for data at rest and data in transit
- Establish and enforce access controls, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Monitor and manage security tools to detect and respond to security incidents promptly
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (eg, GDPR, HIPAA) and industry standards (eg, ISO 27001).
- Conduct regular data risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
- Support data classification and data loss prevention (DLP) initiatives.
- Participate in incident response activities, including analyzing data breaches and security incidents.
- Collaborate with the incident response team to implement effective security incident management.
- Conduct security awareness training sessions for employees, fostering a culture of security.
- Educate team members on best practices for data handling and security.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to data security policies, procedures, and configurations.
- Generate and present security reports to management and stakeholders.
- Expertise in data loss prevention (DLP) solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud security and container security best practices.
- Knowledge of threat detection and incident response tools.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (eg, Python, PowerShell).
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a strong plus.
- Demonstrated experience in data security, information security, or a related field.
- Proficiency in data encryption technologies, access controls, and security tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of data protection regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
