Job Description
We are looking for a talented and creative Video Editor to join our content team. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for detail, storytelling skills, and the ability to transform raw footage into engaging and impactful videos that align with our brand's voice and objectives.
Video Editor Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a finished product suitable for publishing.
- Create short-form and long-form video content for social media, YouTube, website, ads, etc.
- Add music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to enhance the overall video quality.
- Collaborate with content creators, scriptwriters, and graphic designers to meet video objectives.
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of video content.
- Stay up-to-date with video trends, tools, and platform-specific formats (e.g., reels, shorts).
- Organize and maintain video project files and backups.
- Make revisions based on team feedback and client requirements.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
- Basic knowledge of color grading and sound mixing.
- Strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, and transitions.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Understanding of various aspect ratios and formats (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, etc.).
- Familiarity with motion graphics is a plus.
- Attention to detail and creative mindset.
- Experience with YouTube or social media content production.
- Basic understanding of SEO and social media engagement strategies.
Video Editor Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Film Studies, Media, Animation, Communication, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- 13 years of experience in video editing (freelancers and freshers with strong portfolios can also apply).
- A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing editing and storytelling capabilities. Creative and innovative
- Knowledge of animation or graphic design tools like Adobe After Effects or Canva.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Any bachelors degree
