Database Administrator (DBA) @ Preludesys

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with a minimum of 3 years experience in managing SQL-based databases. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of database systems.

• Database Normalization, Indexing, Integrity
• Backup & Recovery, Security Management
• Performance Tuning, Troubleshooting
• Strong Analytical & Communication Skills

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server and MySQL databases
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and performance
• Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies
• Perform database tuning and optimization
• Modify and manage database structures according to project and business needs
• Automate and refine regular processes; document changes and track issues
• Regularly assess and update database security

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of database technologies and structures
• Proven experience as a DBA in a production environment
• Familiarity with business processes and ability to understand business requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage database environments effectively
• Awareness of emerging database technologies and trends
• Proficient in handling and structuring database tables.
