Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer @ Opentext

The opportunity

The ESM R&D team is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance engineer to join our Global R&D team to deliver innovative enterprise software solutions by working in a fast paced challenging and enriching environment. This is a high-growth business, and our solutions are used by enterprise class highly demanding customers across the globe. We are using a Microservices-based architecture composed of multiple services running on Kubernetes using Docker Containers.

As a Senior Quality Engineer,

• You will lead efforts to optimize the performance and efficiency of our applications, services, and systems.
• You will work closely with development, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams to identify performance bottlenecks, define performance testing strategies, and

implement solutions that enhance the overall user experience.

• You will contribute as a team member and take responsibility for own work commitments and take part in project / functional problem-solving.
• You will make decisions based on established practices.
• You will work under general guidance with progress reviewed on a regular basis.

You are Great at:

- Architect and develop automated frameworks for system level workflows/automations for continuous delivery

-Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of

application software, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.

- Analyses design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required

based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.

- Ability to write good clean code on a day-to-day basis and actively participates in Code

reviews.

- Should be open to work across technologies as a stack developer.

- Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development

partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

- Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more complex development projects.

- Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education and Experience Required:

- Bachelor's or Masters degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

- Typically, 10 to 12 years of experience
