Job Description
- Greet guests warmly and courteously upon arrival.
- Present menus to guests and provide detailed information about menu items, specials, and beverage options.
- Answer guests' questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, using order slips or a POS system.
- Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff promptly and accurately.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond attentively to their requests.
- Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction with their meals and service.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with grace and efficiency, escalating to management when necessary.
- Prepare and present guest checks accurately.
- Process payments using cash registers, credit card machines, or other payment methods.
- Clear and reset tables promptly after guests depart.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tables, server stations, and dining areas.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
- Stay updated on menu changes, specials, and restaurant promotions.
- Upsell or make recommendations to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
