Job Title: Medical Officer
Job Location :- saijpur bogha - 382345
Job Summary:
The Community Health Consultant will provide medical consultation and examination at community sites, ensuring appropriate care for patients. The role involves patient management, awareness sessions, home visits, and collaboration with healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide consultation and examination to patients at community sites and prescribe appropriate medicines ensuring that the patient /attendant comprehends the need, dosages, schedule, and side effects of the medicines.
- To take care of Maternal and Child Health and Geriatric as and when required
- Document the history and diagnosis, prescriptions on prescribed cards and records.
- Ensure use of medicines is minimized (rational use of drugs), both in quantity and variety.
- Document & Diagnose Diseases pattern in the prescribed format.
- Data capturing on Health App.
- Provide referrals in need of advanced management, investigations, hospitalization and/or any other care that cannot be provided by the Healthcare at Doorsteps project to appropriate referral healthcare centres.
- Make home visits to bed-ridden and disabled identified by local volunteers and staff.
- Take awareness sessions and provide counselling at the community sites on health topics specially focused on NCDs., Maternal and Child Health, Nutrition, Geriatric Care, Health and Hygiene as and when required as per the Project Need.
- Support Executive in establishing effective and meaningful linkages with government, NGO and private healthcare providers for secondary/tertiary/in-patient care/ laboratory investigations/ and other diagnostic procedures. Support Executive /Pharmacist in preparing an indent of medicines.
- Attend General Health and Specialized Camps as and when required as per project need
- Take field challenges as per project need and travel to remote area/Village as per the need.
- Participate and attend the Emergency Relief work Ensure COVID Appropriate behaviour has been followed.
Qualifications:
- Medical qualifications (MBBS or equivalent) with relevant clinical experience.
- Knowledge of Maternal and Child Health, NCDs, Nutrition, Geriatric Care, and Hygiene.
- Strong documentation and data entry skills.
- Ability to engage with the community and provide health education effectively.
- Experience in fieldwork and home visits is a plus.
