Job Description
Job Title: Senior Linux & AWS Engineer
Location: Chennai
Experience: 4-7 Years
Shift: Night Shift Support (Mandatory)
Mode: Full-time
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide L2 & L3 level support for Linux OS administration (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Perform Linux OS installation, software deployment, and patch management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CPU, memory, and system performance issues.
- Deep understanding of Linux system files, boot process, run levels, and kernel tuning.
- Administer disk management using RAID, LVM, including volume group creation, snapshots, and LVM recovery.
- Scripting automation for recurring operational tasks (Shell, Bash, Python preferred).
- Perform system hardening and security implementations in compliance with best practices.
- Manage change requests, updates, and configurations per customer requirements.
- Handle major incident/outage troubleshooting, and participate in bridge calls.
- Maintain 24x7 uptime of IT services to support round-the-clock business operations.
- Provide technical support to developers and business users for system access and environment issues.
- Ensure backup success and recovery validation for all environments.
- Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) identify patterns, dependencies, and eliminate false positives.
- Maintain server and network hardware/peripherals, including firmware and driver updates.
- Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Route 53, RDS, and CloudWatch.
- Perform AWS instance provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and security implementation.
- Deploy and manage cloud-based services and hybrid environments.
- Implement AWS backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Use CloudFormation/Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployments.
- Handle cost monitoring and optimization of AWS usage.
- Ensure AWS environment compliance and governance.
- Integrate Linux systems with AWS-native tools and services.
