Job Description

Mechanical Engineer

Design and development support for product design activities
Mechanical Engineering and CAD activities per scope of work provided by Northern Tool
Owns and maintains the design, components, and assemblies with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) techniques, which are used to minimize product cost through design and process improvements. This will include creation of specifications, preliminary design reviews, and critical design reviews.
Development of drawings and BOMs for manufacturing and sourcing
Works with Project engineer and participates in integrated product team discussions for assignment of actions and provide status updates.
Creation of the mechanical system test requirements
Leads design reviews and component placement in master assemblies
CAD modeling will follow Northern Tool best practice and meet drawing checklist requirements. Creo is required file format

Use root cause determination fundamentals (Example: 8D, A3, RPS
