Job Description: Support Engineer (Java, SQL, AWS)
Location: Hyderabad
Work mode: 5 days WFO (Work from Office)
Role Overview
As a Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless, customer-obsessed experience by resolving technical issues, mitigating risks, and supporting our client's diverse and rapidly evolving technology stack. This role requires hands-on expertise in Java, SQL, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), and involves both proactive and reactive support for internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for applications and infrastructure built on Java, SQL databases, and AWS services.
- Resolve customer cases through various channels (phone, email, chat), applying advanced troubleshooting techniques to deliver tailored solutions and drive issues to root cause resolution.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve the reliability, scalability, and performance technology stack.
- Drive initiatives to improve support processes and customer experience, such as creating tutorials, technical articles, and training materials.
- Design, build, and automate solutions for operational challenges, including infrastructure automation and monitoring using AWS tools and services.
- Participate in on-call rotations to address critical incidents, often outside standard business hours.
- Mentor new team members, contribute to hiring processes, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming for backend or automation tasks.
- Solid experience with SQL databases (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Amazon Aurora) including database administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Practical knowledge of AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc.) and experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix and/or Windows system administration and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for customer success.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud security concepts, and DevOps practices.
- Scripting or programming experience in additional languages (Python, Shell, etc.).
- Exposure to monitoring, alarming, and incident management in production environments.
- Ability to analyse and optimise existing systems for reliability and efficiency.
Note: we are looking for someone who are interested for 5 days work from office and immediate joiners or who can join within 15-20 days.
