Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, cooling towers, pumps, valves, dampers, and controls.
- Regular inspection and performance logging of all HVAC equipment.
- Operate centrifugal/screw chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled) in compliance with SOPs and manufacturer guidelines.
- Monitor and control the chilled water system, condenser water system, and chilled water pumps.
- Operate and inspect cooling towers, ensuring proper water treatment and system efficiency.
- Conduct routine checks and preventive maintenance of AHUs and FCUs to maintain optimal air quality and cooling performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults, unusual noises, or performance drops in HVAC components.
- Coordinate with the engineering and BMS teams for optimal building system performance.
- Record data such as temperature, pressure, current, and runtime for daily operation logs.
- Support energy-saving initiatives by ensuring efficient operation of systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory regulations.
- Respond promptly to HVAC-related complaints or breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
Preferred candidate profile
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in operating and maintaining commercial HVAC systems.
- Experience with chiller plants, AHUs, and cooling towers is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HVAC system diagrams and operations.
- Knowledge of water treatment procedures and chemical dosing for cooling towers preferred.
