Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MS SQL Server databases, including schema design and normalization.
  
• Write advanced TSQL: complex queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
  
• Optimize performance via indexing, execution plan analysis, query tuning, and SQL Server performance monitoring.
  
• Support and execute ETL tasks using SSIS; optionally contribute to SSRS/SSAS reporting solutions.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issuesdeadlocks, locking, resource contentionand provide proactive fixes.
  
• Mentor junior developers; conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into database architecture and processes.
  
• Document database design, change logs, process flows, technical specifications, and performance reviews.
  
• Generate ad hoc reports and support scheduled automated SQL tasks for management dashboards.
