Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, water, finished products, and environmental samples.
- Perform routine tests such as microbial limit testing, sterility testing, endotoxin testing, and microbial identification.
- Prepare and maintain microbiological media, reagents, and cultures.
- Monitor environmental conditions of cleanrooms and production areas (e.g., air, surface, personnel monitoring).
- Maintain proper documentation in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments like autoclaves, incubators, laminar flow hoods, etc.
- Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results or contamination issues and assist in root cause analysis.
- Support validation activities (e.g., water system validation, disinfectant efficacy studies).
- Follow all safety and hygiene protocols during sample handling and testing.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance processes.
Requirements:
- Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Experience: 13 years of relevant experience in microbiological testing (pharmaceutical, food, or healthcare preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of microbial techniques and aseptic practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, NABL, FSSAI, etc.).
- Proficient in documentation and report writing.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, LIMS preferred).
- Attention to detail and strong analytical mindset.
