What you'll do:
  • Provide Product Evangelism, Engineering in Site Reliability space and building support organization leadership and vision.
  • Employs best product management methodologies with deep understanding of customers requirements, customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow adoption, improve customer experience and drive business growth
  • Provide high level strategy and framework to apply across portfolio of SRE products in evaluating, building and managing the products.
  • Collaborate with platform engineering teams and drive platform services and delivery with defined SLO/SLI targets
  • Act as brand ambassador of all the SRE products and drive adoption by providing solutions leveraging platform products across all walmart segments
  • Build strong relationship with walmart different business segments, provide consulting and adoption services throughout the application development life cycle
  • Responsible for providing right architectural advises, best practices in product adoption, help in accelerate application development.
  • Build architectural POC, patterns and blueprints in SRE tools and frameworks working with engineering team and enterprise architecture teams which can be reused and deployed across different business segments.
  • Shape the strategic direction of the Support Center of Excellence (Product Support) organization
  • Set, define and implement best practices and industry standards to constantly raise the quality bar for Support and Operations of Platform Products
  • Liaise with leadership to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals and define the direction for the organization
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Focus on generating intellectual property assets on operational support models, tools and techniques implemented

What you'll bring:

  • 20+ years of experience in platform and cutting edge product development space with good technology, consulting and product knowledge.
  • Deep expertise in platform product development, Site Reliability Engineering, defining, designing and building SRE tools to aid in production operations and management.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge in technology & product leader in conceptualizing, incubating and building at least few platform products in the tier 0/1 products like API Gateway, SSO Solution, Edge Solutions, Telemetry solutions, Containerization solutions, Streaming and big data in private and public cloud environment.
  • Strong technical background with the capability of having product design conversation with the engineering team and providing strategic thought leadership in shaping the product roadmap
  • Experience in building large-scale high available resilient platform products leveraging private and public data centre in cloud native pattern that represent broad strategic initiatives.
  • Sound understanding of architecturally significant requirements and patterns in implementation of high availability, resilient, high performance and scalable solutions.
  • Experience in setting up large scale support and operations team with we'll-defined processes to support internal developers/teams and external customers.
  • Proven work experience overseeing, strategizing, and optimizing all aspects of software/systems support management including staffing, shift operations, products, technology etc
  • Expertise in developing/enhancing the key support metrics to measure the effectiveness of the team members, processes, operations to achieve higher developer satisfaction and customer CSAT/NPS scores.
  • Experience in hiring, coaching and managing a team of high potential platform, product & support engineers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good with people, ability to negotiate and drive difficult conversation in influencing the product adoption.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment in managing technology-intensive, time-sensitive, geographically dispersed product support organization across multiple locations and multiple domains.
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity and preparedness to get things done.

Minimum Qualifications... Minimum Qualifications:Option 1: Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and7 years experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 9 years experience in software engineering or related area. 4 years supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications... Master s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years experience in software engineering or related area.
