Site Reliability Engineer III - Big Data

The Site Reliability Engineer III will collaborate with data and platform engineers and business teams to deploy infrastructure components, monitor the health of our pipelines round the clock, and deliver & automate business reports
- Operating system administration (Linux/RedHat/Centos)
- Knowledge in PL SQL to analyze Data and deliver reports to business teams
- Cloud and virtualization-based technologies (AWS/ VMWare or similar)
- Cloud infrastructure and application deployment automation (Ansible / Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Infrastructure monitoring tools (Nagios or similar)
- Knowledge on Bigdata based technologies (CDH/MapR or Similar), preferred CDH.
- Java application server administration (Tomcat or similar)
- Configuration management tools (Chef/Puppet or similar)
- Scripting (Bash) and programming (Python/Ruby or similar)
- Day to day operations of all in-house developed, open source, and commercial applications
- Support 24X7, should be working in shifts
- Ensure system availability, performance, capacity, and security
- Monitor and address incidents, events, and problems in a timely manner
- Develop procedures to automate building and deployment of systems and tasks
- Execute system administration of hosting platforms on private and public infrastructure
- Automate infrastructure and application deployment tasks
- Degree in Computer Science or similar field
- Proficient in bash scripting and a programming language like Shell or Python
- At least 3 years of experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- At least 4 years of experience deploying applications on premise and cloud
- At least 3 years of experience Linux Administration
- At least 2 years of experience in PL SQL
- Familiarity of distributed file systems

Who do we have in mind :
8 to 10 years Exp on Linux Administration
4 + Years exp on MAPR/CLOUDERA
AWS/Azure Cloud Experience
Strong infrastructure Background
Strong Chef/Ansible experience
Shell/Python Experience
CI/CD Experience
Strong Middle ware experience (Tomcat/J boss/Apache / NGNIX)
