In St Johns E.M High School the Principal is the administrative and professional leader of the school, and as such, he/she is directly responsible for the successful operation. The major effect of the Principal is in the field of educational leadership and supervision, with stress on the improvement of teaching and learning.JOB DESCRIPTION : PRINCIPAL , VICE-PRINCIPAL,ACADEMIC COORDINATOR
1. Uphold our educational policies and integrate the common core government guidelines into each class curriculum .
2. Create benchmarks for students and teachers and track progress towards those goals .
3. Develop programs that improve teacher performance and assist students in understanding class material better .
4. Provide guidance to the schools network of student leaders and challenge those leaders to make the school a better place
5. Respond immediately to concerns from parents and school board administration.
6. Commitment to creating a productive educational experience
7. Proven history in improving teacher performance
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills
9. Evaluate instructors and other staff members to ensure that the standardized curriculum is adhered to, and identify areas of improvement.
10. Discipline students according to school policy and enforce campus rules, such as the dress code and attendance policy.
11. Collaborate with teachers, parents and students to provide the best education for each student and assist them in their academic and professional goals.
12. Participate in hiring, training and other employment activities for instructors and secondary staff members to create a dynamite team.
13. Provide guidance and counseling services to students on their academic or vocational goals and offer assistance with behavioral modification programs.
14. Lead professional development programs for staff and encourage instructors to attend regional conferences to maintain the best academic programs.
15. Establish curriculum guidelines in collaboration with other administrators and instructors in the school district, and ensure that guidelines are adhered to.
16. Oversee budgeting and grant proposals, and determine budget allocations for items such as supplies, materials, staff and equipment.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Females preferred
Vijayawada residents or non residents
Masters/Bachelors degree in education
Any P.G
5-20 years experience as a Principal or Vice Principal
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
Proven problem-solving skills
Coursework in conflict management
