Job Description

The role of a Neurologist involves diagnosing neurological conditions by conducting patient interviews, performing physical examinations, and interpreting diagnostic tests like MRI, CT scans, EEG, and EMG. Following the diagnosis, Neurologists develop and implement treatment plans, which may consist of medication management, physical therapy, or other therapeutic interventions. They are responsible for monitoring patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans, and offering education and support to both patients and their families. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals such as neurosurgeons, physical therapists, and nurses is crucial to ensure comprehensive patient care. Additionally, Neurologists may engage in research activities to further the understanding and treatment of neurological disorders, and some may also be involved in teaching medical students and residents.
