Job Description
- As a Test Automation Engineer, your primary responsibility will involve designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts utilizing Python and Selenium. You will be tasked with executing automated test cases for both web and mobile applications, while also performing regression testing to identify and report defects in the software. Collaborating closely with development and product teams, you will play a vital role in comprehending project requirements and ensuring alignment with testing efforts. In an Agile environment, you will actively participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions to contribute to the project's success. Your duties will extend to conducting API testing using tools like Postman and SoapUI, analyzing test outcomes to provide constructive feedback for ongoing enhancements, and meticulously documenting test cases and procedures to ensure traceability and transparency throughout the testing process. Moreover, you will be expected to assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues within the application, integrating automation tests into CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining version control of test scripts in repositories such as Git. Providing training and support to junior team members will be part of your role, along with staying informed about industry trends and adopting best practices in automated testing to deliver high-quality results within project timelines consistently. To excel in this position, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with proven expertise in Python programming and a strong proficiency in Selenium for web automation. Knowledge of automation frameworks and tools, familiarity with API testing, and experience with version control systems like Git are essential qualifications. Additionally, a solid understanding of Agile software development practices, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective verbal and written communication abilities are crucial for success in this role. Your attention to detail in testing and documentation, willingness to learn new technologies and tools, proactive approach towards enhancing testing processes, and prior experience in a QA or test automation role will be advantageous. Skills in using collaboration tools, agile methodologies, Jenkins, performance testing tools, and CI/CD practices will further strengthen your candidacy for this position.
