Azure Data Engineer @ TechStar Group

Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in big data ecosystems. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration, transformation, and storage of large datasets using Azure cloud services and big data tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and related services.
  
• Develop and maintain data lake solutions using Azure Data Lake Gen2.
  
• Implement ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured datasets.
  
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security in all data workflows.
  
• Integrate data from diverse sources into big data platforms for analytics and reporting.
  
• Optimize big data workloads for performance and cost efficiency.
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• 510 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3+ years in Azure cloud services.
  
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  
• Strong knowledge of big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka).
  
• Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and Python.
  
• Experience with data lakehouse architectures and large-scale data ingestion.
  
• Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance in cloud environments.
  
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD for data pipelines.
