Job Description-

The Senior Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced business intelligence solutions using Power BI. This role involves translating complex business requirements into actionable data visualizations and dashboards that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand reporting needs and KPIs
• Report & Dashboard Development: Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop, integrating data from multiple sources such as Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Excel, and CSV
• Data Modelling: Develop tabular and multidimensional models aligned with data warehouse standards
• Advanced DAX Calculations: Use DAX functions for complex calculations and performance optimization
• Integration & Deployment: Publish reports to Power BI Service, embed reports into other applications, and manage data ownership and gateway connections
• Testing & Validation: Conduct unit testing and validate KPIs against source systems to ensure accuracy
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of processes, methodologies, and report specifications
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Guide junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance tracking.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
• Expertise in DAX, data modelling, and performance tuning
• Experience with integrating Power BI with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in BI development, with at least 2 years in a senior role
• Certifications in Power BI or related Microsoft technologies
• Experience with Python, R, or other analytics tools is a plus.
