Job Description
- The Fund Accounting Group Manager position is a senior management role where you will be responsible for leading a team to drive various fund valuation activities in alignment with the Operations - Transaction Services team. Your primary goal will be to ensure the smooth delivery of activities related to Net Asset Valuations (NAV's). You will be overseeing a team of dedicated professionals who play a crucial role in the investment process by maintaining accurate cash and position data for middle office clients. This data accuracy is essential for functions such as investment management, analytics, compliance, and regulatory reporting, covering cash types such as equities, fixed income, OTC derivative positions (swaps, swaptions, FXs, and synthetics), and collateral. Your responsibilities will include end-to-end supervision of the function, actively managing risk and exposure for clients, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of the investment book of record to clients. You will also work on assessing new business opportunities, driving process improvements, and enhancing systems and services. Key Responsibilities: - Manage fund accounting operations at a site or functional level, collaborating with people managers and other departments to develop cost-effective solutions that meet client needs - Evaluate new business opportunities and recommend appropriate actions - Identify and implement process improvements, system enhancements, and conduct system testing - Facilitate employee career progression through career paths, training, and Professional Development Plans - Evaluate risk and controls, ensure compliance, and lead strategic planning processes - Monitor Profit and Loss, expenses, budget, and department goals - Support industry initiatives, corporate governance, and ethics - Ensure timely and accurate delivery of team functions and design Service Level Agreements - Collaborate with global teams to build the best value proposition for Citi - Implement oversight and escalation metrics Qualifications: - 12+ years of relevant experience - Chartered Accountant / CFA / MBA - Experience in financial markets, fund accounting, financial services, client management, project management, and strategic management - Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, financial services, and global financial markets - Ability to manage client relationships, clear communication skills, leadership, and talent assessment abilities Education: - Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience - Master's degree preferred This position falls under the Fund Accounting job family within the Operations - Transaction Services group and is a full-time role.
