Job Description

    • Job Summary:

      We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer / Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in data warehouse technologies and application support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for incident management, troubleshooting, development support, and collaborating across teams to ensure smooth system performance within a telecom environment.


      Roles and Responsibilities:

      • Manage and resolve incident management activities to ensure high system availability and performance.

      • Troubleshoot and analyze issues related to data pipelines, databases, and applications.

      • Contribute to the development and optimization of data workflows and processes.

      • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and operations to drive continuous improvements.

      • Suggest and implement process and system enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency.

      • Monitor and enhance overall system performance in production environments.

      • Train and mentor new employees, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.


      Mandatory Skills:

      • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift for data warehousing.

      • Expertise in Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and pipeline scheduling.

      • Proficiency in PL/SQL for database development and troubleshooting.

      • Programming skills in Python for automation and scripting tasks.

      • Experience with Data Warehousing (DWH) concepts and implementations.

      • Familiarity with JIRA for issue tracking and project management.


      Desired / Secondary Skills:

      • Experience with Unix shell scripting for automation and system tasks.

      • Knowledge of telecom industry processes and domain-specific challenges.

      • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
