Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HashiCorp Vault Engineer to join our DevSecOps team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing Vault for secure secret management and encryption services in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain HashiCorp Vault infrastructure in production and non-production environments.
- Implement Vault Enterprise features such as namespaces, replication, and performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain policies, roles, and access controls using Vault ACLs and Sentinel.
- Integrate Vault with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate Vault operations using Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools.
- Monitor Vault performance and ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure secret management practices.
- Conduct regular security audits, upgrades, and patching of Vault clusters.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with HashiCorp Vault in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of PKI, encryption, tokenization, and authentication mechanisms.
- Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HashiCorp Certified: Vault Associate or higher.
- Experience with Vault Enterprise features.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
