Job Title: Python Automation Engineer Kubernetes & Cloud
Location: Bangalore, India
Experience: 5 to 6 years
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Python Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong scripting capabilities, a deep understanding of container orchestration, and infrastructure automation in modern cloud-native environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Python scripts to automate infrastructure and operational tasks.
- Automate deployment and scaling of microservices on Kubernetes (K8s) using Helm, kubectl, and K8s API.
- Design and build robust, scalable automation workflows for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Write automation for log analysis, monitoring, and system health checks.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to improve CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
- Maintain Docker images, troubleshoot Kubernetes environments, and manage container lifecycles.
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
Required Skills
- Strong programming/scripting skills in Python (must-have).
- Hands-on experience in managing Kubernetes clusters, Helm charts, and YAML configurations.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes Python client for automation.
- Good working knowledge of any major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP):
- AWS: Boto3, EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS
- Azure: Azure SDK for Python, AKS
- GCP: GKE, Google Cloud SDK for Python
- Strong understanding of Docker, containers, and image management.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
- Exposure to infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
- Experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux
- Understanding of security automation and IAM scripting
- Exposure to service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
Educational Qualification
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
