Job Description
Job Title: Test Data Architect
Experience Level: 1012 years
Location- Hyderabad
Job Description -
- Define and implement the Test Data Management strategy across various retail applications (POS, OMS, CRM, eCommerce, etc.).
- Design and oversee synthetic data generation using GenRocket aligned with test requirements and production-like quality.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Development teams to ensure on-demand test data provisioning in CI/CD pipelines.
- Create data models, manage data masking, subsetting, cloning, and refresh strategies.
- Establish data privacy & compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA) in synthetic test data workflows.
- Define reusable data generation components and self-service test data provisioning frameworks using GenRocket capabilities.
- Conduct workshops, PoCs, and evangelize TDM best practices across teams.
- Monitor and report test data KPIs (coverage, provisioning time, cost savings, reusability).
- Maintain documentation and knowledge repositories for data provisioning logic, test data recipes, and automation frameworks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software testing / test data engineering / data architecture.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with GenRocket or similar synthetic TDM tools.
- Strong understanding of Retail domain data models: product catalogs, transactions, inventory, customer profiles, loyalty programs, etc.
- Expertise in data masking, subsetting, data obfuscation, and synthetic data generation.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Oracle, or other RDBMSs.
- Familiar with DevOps pipelines, test automation tools, and CI/CD integration.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and their implications on test data.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Shell, SQL) for automation and data manipulation.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills.
