Job Description
- 7+ Years of experience on DevOps, Release Management on Java Based Applications and Product.
- Good DevOps Skills across SCM, Build and Release, Continuous Integration tools and frameworks such as, SVN, Git/GitHub, ANT, MVN, Sonar etc.
- Good understanding and practical working knowledge of Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Nexus, VMware, Web Severs, App Servers, etc.
- Experience in building and deploying automation using CI tools, Scripting tools such as Shell/PowerShell/Perl/Python.
- Experience in automating build and deployment processes on AWS, proprietary Cloud hosting environments.
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux/Unix systems administration and architecture.
- Good background in Java based product development.
- Good DB concepts and experience in messaging middleware.
- Experience in Cross platform build toolchain development and GNU tools
- Experience in setting up and managing cluster environment.
- Good experience in Configuration Management, Release Managementand Version Control Systems.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive process changes, working with multiple teams and product lines.
- Responsible for the support of the build and infrastructure for multiple product teams.
- Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve and scale the CI / Agile infrastructure, as well as develop standards / practices / processes as needed for supporting the needs of the scrum / agile product line teams.
- Provide support and advice to teams on consistent and auditable configuration and release management.
- Ability to enforce best practices around good source code structure, branching, tagging, merging, build & deployment and release management.
- Contribute as a Senior Member of the team performing DevOps & Release Management.
Mandatory Skills:
- Java / J2EE on WebSphere/JBoss
- Jenkins / Chef / Puppet / Ansible / Nexus / VMware
- Frameworks such as SVN, Git/GitHub, ANT, MVN, Sonar, etc.
- Worked in Product Development Environment.
- Good understanding of Enterprise Architectures, Java and Database solutions.
- Experience with relational & NoSQL data stores, such as MongoDB.
Good to Have Skills:
- Experience with Infrastructure Security
- Insurance Domain Knowledge
