Job Description

Hook-up & Commissioning Engineer Offshore Oil & Gas

Experience Required: 510 years Location: Offshore / Project Site Employment Type: [Full-time / Contract] Industry: Oil & Gas / Energy / EPC

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

Lead and coordinate hook-up and commissioning activities for offshore installations.
Prepare and execute detailed work packs, commissioning procedures, and execution plans.
Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.

Team Coordination

Interface with PMT, client representatives, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ensure readiness of materials, tools, labor, and equipment for offshore campaigns.
Oversee vessel operations including jack-ups, workboats, and support vessels.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure all activities comply with HSE standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

Reporting & Documentation

Maintain daily progress reports and commissioning logs.
Support job card approvals, punch list clearance, and handover documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field)
510 years of offshore experience in hook-up and commissioning roles
Strong understanding of offshore systems, standards, and commissioning practices
Proven leadership in managing multicultural teams
Proficient in MS Office and commissioning software tools
Fluent in English; excellent communication and coordination skills

Preferred Certifications

BOSIET / HUET Offshore Safety Training
ISO / API Standards Familiarity
HSE Certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA)
