Job Title: Sr. Data Engineer
Location: 100% Remote
Shift: 2 to 11 pm IST
Employment Type: 5 months Contract till Dec 31 2025
Experience: 8-9 Years (Relevant Data Engineering Experience)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sr Data Engineer to architect,
develop, and optimize our end-to-end data pipeline solutions. The ideal candidate should have 8-9 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a strong proficiency in both Azure and AWS cloud platforms, Python programming, and modern DevOps practices including CI/CD and source control. As a technical lead, you will guide a team of data engineers and collaborate with cross- functional teams to deliver scalable and robust data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines on Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
- Oversee data ingestion, transformation, storage, and retrieval processes.
- Lead the selection and implementation of data tools, technologies, and frameworks best suited for business needs.
- Ensure data pipeline reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Guide and mentor a team of data engineers; provide hands-on technical leadership.
- Establish and enforce best practices for CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure automation.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production data workflows.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
Technical Requirements:
- 8-9 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering.
- Proven expertise in both Azure and AWS data services and architecture.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks.
- Deep experience in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
- Practical experience with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding of source/version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing solutions, and distributed data processing.
- Experience leveraging infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong communication skills with ability to manage stakeholders and lead technical teams.
- Certified in one or more cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) is preferred.
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning in data engineering technologies.
