1. Create APIs that are intuitive, easy to use, and secure and need to work closely with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
2. JAVA, Springboot, Maven, Postgress, API services, Redis, Azure Service
3. Ensure that the APIs are reliable and free of errors and test APIs thoroughly and fix any bugs that are discovered during testing.
4. Document APIs thoroughly so that other developers can understand how to use them which includes creating user guides, API reference documentation, and code samples.
5. Ensure that APIs are secure and protected against unauthorized access and implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, encryption, and other security features.
6. Optimize APIs for performance to ensure that they can handle large volumes of data and requests without slowing down or crashing.
7. Manage versioning and compatibility issues to ensure that APIs are backward compatible and can be used by different systems and devices.
8. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for APIs which includes fixing bugs, updating documentation, and providing technical assistance to other developers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
Experience
5+ years of experience in API and software development
Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, and Node.js and have experience with API frameworks such as REST and GraphQL.
Understanding of API design principles and best practices of RESTful API design, HTTP protocol, and authentication and authorization mechanisms.
Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, & PostgreSQL and API tools such as Postman, Swagger, and Git.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum & Kanban and able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with continuous
delivery and deployment.
